We would like to invite you to join us for our first Sefton Foster Care Association Annual General Meeting this coming Monday 4th March 2024 from 10am until 12pm at Lighthouse Church, 93 Church Road, Formby, L37 3NB Tea and coffee will be available from 9:30am and children are welcome.

About the event

We would like to invite you to join us for our first Sefton Foster Care Association Annual General Meeting this coming Monday 4th March 2024 from 10am until 12pm at Lighthouse Church, 93 Church Road, Formby, L37 3NB

Tea and coffee will be available from 9:30am and children are welcome (we will have a small play area).

For our Foster Care Association to be a success we need our carers to be involved so please do come along, and please do put your names forward (email SeftonFCA@gmail.com) if you would like to be nominated for any of the roles as an Officer or on the Committee.

At this first meeting we will:

·         Review the Constitution.

·         Vote for the Officers and Committee.

·         Share details for future Meetings.

·         Complete Health and Safety and other forms.

·         Discuss the Workplan.

·         AOB.

·         Next Steps.

Sefton Foster Care Association (SFCA) is the official voice of all Sefton carers and is recognised by Sefton Local Authority. Our aims are to:

1.     To offer mutual support to all foster carers

2.     To promote good working partnerships between foster carers, other types of carer groups/associations and the local authority.

3.     To encourage and help carers to work well with professionals.

4.     To represent carers as a group

5.     To enable carers to better meet the needs of children and young people in our care.

6.     To promote communication and understanding between carers and others involved in caring for children in Sefton.
